Awesome to see so much detail about what went into selecting people! I would just +1 to more people starting blogs; even do so anonymously if you want! It’s more fun than you might expect
Hey! Thank you so much for this message :) it really shows that you put so much time and effort into selecting the applicants, and that you considered us all with great respect and care. Also, thanks for the support! I hope Asterisk continues to grow with talented and committed people. All the best guys! Jules L. R. C ;)
Wow. Did not expect to see *this* much passion and goodwill behind the project. I'd bookmarked and wanted to apply, but life got in the way and I missed the deadline. Any chance you'll be doing this again?
Thank you for this writing. I found that AI related fellowships are always very highly competitive. I always failed, again and again, but this is my first time understanding how the judging committee selects their fellows.
This is generalized feedback, but not generic, and THAT makes a huge difference. Thanks so much for taking the time to give us such detailed and transparent feedback. And thank you so much for having read our applications!
Thank you for the feedback, I can only imagine how tedious it must have been on your end. I'll take your advice and stop overthinking it, I'll hit "submit" henceforth.
Thanks, this is a nicer way to find out I wasn’t chosen than silence, I’m not even being sarcastic😅 I wonder how many people from LatAm applied though.
Anyway, looking forward to hearing about the fellows and read their stories! 🙌
Same, I really appreciate the thoughtful response and a walkthrough of why I might have been rejected. For once, I feel like I'm dealing with actual human beings instead of a standard automated answer.

We’re sending emails too, but just saying thank you and linking to this post! Sorry you haven’t got one yet and thank you for applying!

I look forward to seeing what comes out!
50% for EA? geez wish I knew that before applying.
